Intimal wedding in Villa Carlotta: elegant reportage at Lake Como
Planning an intimate wedding Elopement at Villa Carlotta means immersing yourself in a timeless atmosphere, where history meets nature and every photograph tells a story of genuine emotion.
As a wedding photographer on Lake Como, I had the privilege of documenting Tomas & Nazanin’s special day in one of the most charming wedding venues in Italy. Villa Carlotta, with its botanical gardens and breathtaking lake views, offers the perfect setting for couples dreaming of an elegant, romantic, and private celebration.
We chose to highlight each moment with a discreet, natural approach — a documentary-style wedding photography — capturing spontaneous smiles, emotional glances, and the golden light of sunset reflecting on the water.
From soft pastel floral arrangements to vows exchanged in the garden, and an intimate dinner under the stars, every detail made this day a true masterpiece.
If you're looking for a wedding photographer at Villa Carlotta or on Lake Como, I’d love to tell your story through authentic and timeless imagery.
A private boat for your photoshoot in Lake Como.
There’s something magical about eloping on Lake Como—the stillness, the intimacy, the light that wraps around everything like a soft veil. For Tomas & Nazanin, a couple from Finland, this wasn’t just a wedding. It was a private escape into one of the most romantic corners of Italy.
Their Lake Como elopement began at the breathtaking Villa Carlotta, a timeless location in Tremezzo known for its manicured Italian gardens, lakefront views, and classical architecture. As a destination wedding photographer, I love shooting here—every corner offers texture, emotion, and cinematic light. Sini walked through the terraced gardens in a minimalist silk dress, while Aleksi waited beneath the olive trees with quiet anticipation.
Afterwards, we made our way to the lake for a private boat tour—a must for anyone planning a romantic elopement in Lake Como. As the sun dipped lower on the horizon, they boarded a vintage wooden boat and glided across the water. The wind caught Sini’s veil, the golden light shimmered across the lake, and the silence said more than any words could.
They toasted with a glass of prosecco, wrapped in a blanket of soft dusk. We passed by iconic spots like Villa del Balbianello and the quiet villages along the shoreline, the kind of postcard scenes you dream of when you imagine a destination wedding in Italy.
